Success is a Continuous Journey

There is no finish line to success. This may come as a surprise to some, as society often depicts success as the end goal to a career or life dream. When in reality, it seems more like a continuous journey with a meandering pathway filled with many obstacles and challenges along the way, but also opportunities and achievements.

In today’s work life, many businesses are pressured to reach success.  As such, one can wonder what is success?

Success, according Oxford Dictionary, means “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose; the attainment of popularity or profit; a person or thing that achieves desired aims or attains prosperity.

Leadership and How to Make a Movement

The other day I came across this insightful video about what it means to be a leader, a follower and how to create a movement.  The video, “How to Start a Movement” features Derek Sivers and was featured as a TED talk back in 2010.

What’s interesting about Sivers’ analysis is that with a movement typically it is the leader who gets all the glory, when really it is the first follower who is responsible for establishing the leader as such and creating the overall movement.
